Same thing. It's inevitable this will happen. Everytime.

A better idea. Let's implement an acquisition tax. Every merger, buyout, consolidation, absorption and acquisition between 2 or more corporations will be taxed at the rate it cost to acquire and then multiply it by two. Company A bought company B for 200 million dollars? Now they gotta pay 400 mill to finalize and have the government officially recognize it.

@ExtraSimplified because it is inevitable. I'm not sure why that's somehow shocking to you.

@PerryWagle Capitalists can afford whatever the like. But they still rely on government subsidies. Just because they CAN afford it, doesn't mean they will want to spend their own money to pay for it. So if we implement this plan, they will be disincentivised and will be less likely to do it. And if they do do it, then at least a bunch of revenue is collected to be used for housing and healthcare. And yes, anti trust laws can be used if it comes to that.

As a conservative, this makes me mad. How can Republicans look at this and claim to support Capitalism? It's maddening. This isn't pro family. This isn't pro hard work. It isn't even pro freedom. It's exploitation plain and simple. It's greed, a sin. It's lust and envy, it's the idolatry of money. This is not what conservativism should be about. I wish the two parties (or perhaps 2-3 more) were on a similar page economically (they already are just not in the way I'm talking about) when it comes to fighting for working class families and individuals. Then the only thing left in the way to agree on is cultural bs like marriage, abortion and gender stuff.

@PerryWagle tell me how. Because I came with the idea so it would prevent monopolies in the first place and it would disincentivize.

@PerryWagle well I also believe in a land value tax to replace traditional property taxes. That way, the more land they own and the more valuable that land is, the more they pay continuously. I also want to eliminate income taxes for all except people over 10 million dollars. Sales taxes to be replaced with a luxury items tax. I support an assets and market speculation tax. Then a small, progressively increasing tax on corporate profits.

@GenerationX1984 this is something reactive. My solution is proactive.
