  1. The problem with Biden letting the Progressive's drive the legislative train is that Progressive voters don't actually care. They won't support Biden regardless, they will perceive any and all Progressive wins as not good enough and continue to view him as a corporate right wing president. Since Biden won't get their support anyway it's not clear letting them drive the legislation makes much sense politically.
