Men and women are alone because they have been driven apart by a state that wants to break the power of families. A broken family is a family of servants to the state. Does that sound preposterous to you? It shouldn't, if you know world history. Families are a social glue that can organize and fight against power. But if you break the families, how are people going to organize against you? Why would people sacrifice if they no longer have strong bonds with one another?
