Sounds a lot like the Progressive position in the US aboit wealth; while ignoring their own wealthy members.

Printing money just makes the money worth less. It is part of inflation. There are only so much of any product, so the price must represent the cost of obtaining, shipping and making a product goes up, a nice circular issue except on a destructive spiral. More money chases the same goods which requires more money being printed which means the prices go up and the cycle continues.

@Michael-1337 Printing money when there is nothing backing it only makes worth less. Trust in government may increase the trust in that printed and unbacked money for awhile eventually it creases that spill that I described. The PRC government debt is actually higher than the equivalent situation in the US; although the Dems/Progressives and a part of the Republican Partyb seem to be h--l bent on catching up with them.

@JWnFlorida if you remember I said m o new chasing fewer goods (resources) helps fuel this when the government e recent increases money. The devalued money means that the price goes up. Production cuts can lead to the reduced supply; in this case you are citing the increases due to war; however, if you check the fuel production (natural gas and oil) in the US took a substantial drop after the 2020 election with some price relief after more fuel was imported at higher costs from multiple issues. Then the current war situation again restricted supply. Within the last year US production has been increased initially reflecting price relief; however in the state in which I am currently living. The price has again began to approach $4.00 a gallon (again multiple reasons including increases in minimum wages and tax). SO, government policies in other areas can worsen the inflationary spiral. By the way a point about minimum wage increases; the higher the wages go for unskilled labor you see the push for higher wages for skilled workers, these two things are linked. This is why increases in minimum wage really don't change much for workers I. That category. If their wage goes up, so does the wage for a plumber, electrician, someone in a skilled building trade, that means the money that they must spend for services also rises, often higher than their increase.

@mattyghost3409 That is perhaps the least of their issues. There have been hits on their food production in the last few years caused by flooding and other bad weather depending on the region. Collapse of their stock market more recently (that may bother us as well since companies here have pushed investment there). The mov e mentioned of foreign firms manufacturing out of the PRC making unemployment worse. Disease spread including one disease clouded by two different reports. One report said that it was disease, and the other that dust from a huge open pit mine in the north was being blown south. The problem with that was it contained significant radioactive contaminants. Before that reporting stopped, pictures showed people with symptoms that looked very like Beta burns and the lung issues would also fit the affects of inhaled Beta. The additional point was the disease started in the north nearer the mine. Banks have been closing with people unable to get their money. The collapse of the housing industry which was a major economic driver has occurred. To me this makes the PRC much like a wounded animal striking out because what the Communist Party needs is an external enemy to blame for all this. There is an old rule that when the gods turn away from a dynasty it falls. The only thing missing from that scenario is a failed war.
