  1. I don't understand why people have such a hard time accepting that desalination is not economically viable in comparison to the building of reservoirs, dykes, and aqueducts! For all the estimated claims about the economic viability of desalination, none of them have come into fruition. That is all side from the fact aqueducts and dams can also be used to provide hydroelectric power in addition to providing water. Let's accept the answer and move on!
