You are all missing the point, the military budget is there to support the value of the US dollar by imposing the US hegemony on other nations. Those Wars were an attempt to maintain dollar hegemony, although they were largely unsuccessful. There is America can do to contain the rise of China, it is China game to lose. That said those beneficiaries of Social Security, who received far more than they ever paid in, out in benefits, would be plunged into poverty if America lost hegemony, if America had to compete on its merits in the world based upon its manufacturing capabilities. There's no solution for the left wing or the right wing of America, and both are guilty.
