@wokeaf1337 East Germany was soviet satelite state but it was not a part of Soviet Union. Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus and Georgia were soviet republics, small pieces of a country called USSR while East Germany, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Chechoslovakia were soviet satelite states. They were forced to live under Moscow's command, had nothing or very little to say but they had their own countries, borders, flags or national anthems. Something like Belarus and Lukashenko today. Puppet but still not a part of Russia.

Maxus Lorenzo If they love Russia so much, they can move out to Moscow or anywhere inside of Russia. They are not allowed to take somebody else's land and claim "this is Russia from now on".

@spaceman69 Crimea belongs to Ukraine. Russians from Crimea can live in Crimea which is a part of Ukraine or move out to Russia but they are not allowed to take Ukraine's land and claim "this is Russia because I say so"

Most children of Russian political leaders live and study in Western countires as well so those Russians who live in Germany have "great role models"

Maxus Lorenzo Do you know what is Russia's biggest problem? Claiming that everything tht used to be soviet/russian at any point belongs to Russia forever. This is bs Crimea referendum has no credibility around the world. Choosing an alliance and taking somebody else's land are two different things. There is no justification.

@eveleung8855 It was not a coup. Yanukovich lost support of his own party and Ukrainian people because he refused to sign a deal with EU (thanks to Putin's oders). He run to Moscow where he belongs to. Nobody forced Ukrainians to go West exept for their own bad experience with Russia. Russia can blame itself only.

Maxus Lorenzo Bs bs and more bs. Russia loves taking all USSR glory as long as it suits Russia and it is Putin who called the collapse of USSR "The greatest tragedy of XX century" which is bs. Keep living in your matrix, Ivan. World moves on and Russia is still stucked in the past and can not stand its time of glory and its soft power is over. Putin lost his people's future.

@spaceman69 My opinion may not be the most important but there is a thing called international law and recognized borders. Russia has no clue about it. Russia is not a special need baby. Crimea is not Russia just because Putin and people of Russia say so. Stop living in your matrix, Ivan.
