That is why so many former soviet satelite states turned their back on Russia and joined Nato as quicly as they could. If Russia was a good neighbour, there would be no need to join Nato.

Nato did not force anybody to join. Many former soviet satelite states (soviet republics were Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, countries like Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic have never been a part of USSR as a country, they were sepatate states) decided to join Nato because Russia was never a friendly neighbour to them. Joining Nato it's a choice while being Russia's neighbour is not. It's a bad luck. It's not Russia to decide about independent countries pact choices. We are sick and tired of Putin's paranoia and excuses. Did Putin ever cared for his victim's safety concerns? I guess not. Eatsern Europe is not his backyard anymore. They are free people and free to decide about their countries future and choices.

@borisbritva7453 Putin kills, poisons and put in prison all his political opponents and critics. He is in power for over 20 years, all election in Russia was false, first thing Putin did was to close free media in Russia (like NTB chanel) just because they did not love him enough and made laught at him.

They don't know any better. It has always been like that. With or without Putin. It's not Putin who created Russia. It's Russia who created Putin. Don't expect much.

@ange6580 The problem is Russia will never change. It's not Putin who created Russia, It's Russia who created Putin. People of Russia don't know any better, they were raised that way. We can not expect them to change overnight. Whoever comes after Putin, can not be much better.
