  2.  @FreeWanderingThinker  Joining Nato or EU is a choice. It is not made by force. Warsaw pact as the only allaince to invade its own members when they tried to leave that soviet "paradise".

  3.  @stupidburp  Some Germans still look at Russia as if it was "the land of Tolstoy an ballet" only. They simply did not suffer as much as Poland under russian and soviet rule. It is not only about Cold war era. It is much deeper issue. For oland it is about 300 years of history including lack of independence for 123 years. Germans have no clue what it was like. They have "lighter" experience.

  5.  @gimalu743  Also WWII victims are often seen in Germany as "Russians only" which is far from truth. Many of them were Ukrainians. Do Germans feel the same guit when it comes to Ukrainians? I do not think so. For many years some German politicians used to say "Russia is Germany's biggest neighbor". There is Poland in all of this? Poland's voice never was heard as laud as it should. Polish people are used to russian threats. Germans are not. It is easy to scare them.

  6.  @clavichord  Warsaw pact was the only alliance to invade ts own members. Countries aply to join Nato. It is not made by force and USA did not annex any part of european land unlike Russia.

  7. Look at Poland. Poland borders Russia and experienced even more terrible things than Germany. Poland has never been naive when it comes to Russia.

  8. Poland borders Russia and knows Russia better. It is Russia and USSR which created Putin, not the opposite. Russia has always been no good to Poland, with or without Putin.
