  2. First of all, none of this happened but even if...Verbal promises do not caunt, papers signed do. Second of all Russia had nothing to say. It was up to Easter European countries if they want to join Nato or not. Russia had no right to decide about their fate above their heads. The cold war and sphere of influance was over. It's not Russia's backyard anymore. Deal with it.
