I lived in Australia for fifty three years now, but I've been coming back to the UK every few years over the last twenty years. I was first interested to find the music on the radio station on my hire car was interrupted by either traffic or weather report (can't remember which). This sounds like another attempt to put people in a permanent crisis mode. Even in Australia, on the rare occasion I hear the mainstream news, it's always some crisis or emergency of one sort or another. Then to show that they have some degree of humanity they show a clip of a dog who can ride a surf board or some crap.
