  1. I thought she was giving good advice as well. Here's the thing: women ONLY love themselves. Not their parents; not their siblings; not their husbands; not their children (70% of the harm that befalls children are inflicted by the mothers); and, not the dog or the cat. Okay, maybe the cat. It's called foreshadowing. They only love themselves. It's a survival mechanism. Their most basic biological function is to have and to raise children. To nurture and protect them to a certain point in their young lives. In that sense, they're no different than the lions. Make no mistake: they do have FEELINGS in that giant, internal, flaming, electrified hairball of emotions women carry around with them. They have feelings toward all of the above, but love is not one of those feelings. The saying "men are in it for love; women are in it for business" is truer than the person who said it probably even knew.

  2. "...it's what she's going to have on her finger forever...." Or 8-10 years, which is the average length of marriage in the US, currently. It's like a life sentence, except you get time off for her bad behavior.
