  1. I get why from an American perspective, we want the Ukrainian war sorted. But we should see it from the Global South's perspective. The consequences don't just stem from Russia's actions in Ukraine, they also stem from Western military aid, and sanctions. If Western aid and sanctions stopped today, all the global world issues driven by the war in Ukraine would quickly be resolved. That's as true as what would happen if Russia pulled out of Ukraine. Now that's not to say we shouldn't push for Ukraine to be at the top of the agenda. But if country's like Brazil and others are annoyed, this isn't your uncle who's annoyed by news about Ukraine, these are countries, countries that influence world geopolitics. Like if we don't at least listen to them, I fear the fate of Ukraine will be forced upon the West.
