  1. Fun Fact : 20 Seats in British Parlaiment is reserved for 'Bishops" form the Church. In India, This would be equivalent to reserving 20 Seats in Parliament for Temple Poojaris. LOL This is Secularism of the Eurpeans, folks !!!

  2. The Popularity of Indira and Rajeev was not because of their Character, But because People at that time were ignorant. Average Indian in 1980s had no access to T.V, Let alone the Internet or Free Media. There was only one State owned Propaganda Channel - Doordarshan and mostly State owned Newspapers. I still remember when i was a 5 year old Kid in 1990s, They used to constantly brainwash us with same daily Short Film - How Godse killed Gandhi. I used to think why they keep playing this again and again everyday. Then I learnt about how Congress used "Gandhi" as a Political Tool, Later on at College. So its natural that the avergae Poor Indian in a village would vote for Gandhi, Not knowing the Congress Parrty and Nehru Children had nothing to with Gandhi. They just used Gandhi name for their selfish Politivacl Purpose. Today, Congress no longer gets votes because even a 10 year old kid knows Politics and knows the diffeerence between Rahul and Gandhi.

  4. The Average Indian Voter at that time were in Villages, Voted for Gandhi, Without knowing Sonia and Rajeev had nothing to do with Gandhi. There was no T.V Channels, There was no News, There was no Internet. So Ignorance and Uneducaetgd were everywhere. Today, Even our Chldren know Politics. Its hard to fool people in the name of Gandhi.
