You are still brainwashed in the Western Secular way of thinking. Look at Asian Cultures like - Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Japan, They don't care about Western way of thinking. They proudly celebrate their Deities / Cultures / Traditions. So ask yourself - How are we different from them ? We are not !!! If anythig, Indians have a Proud History / Culture / Traditions just like these above mentioned countries. We were colonized by the Europeans for 300 years, This has changd us in ways we cannot imagine to think and act like a European. We find embracing Western Values like Secularism and Democracy to be Progressive, Yet Japan is mor Progressive than West in almmost every way and they still worship Japanese Shinto Gods, Their Prime Minister doesn't promote Secularism, He openly marries in Traditional Shinto Ceremony and visits Shinto Shrines. So when we Hindus do the same, Its somehow wrong ?
