  4.  @levis569  Sure. Our government's laissez-faire attitude towards corporations over the past, uh forever, has allowed the consolidations which has made it so that only four companies have that much control. Check SCOTUS rulings which benefit the corps. Who needs a break, us or corporations?

In the past 5 years institutional investors have been buying up single-family housing and apartments at almost 30% of all sales. That pressure drives the prices on the rest. If those two necessities, food and shelter, are driven high everything else will follow.
