In case you did not watch the entire hearing yesterday, Fauci gave all evidence to refute ALL of the spurious allegations against him. The Republican committee members folded like rice paper. Nice try at a spin, Fox.

@AnAmericanPatriot1555 "They" is a huge word. What I disagreed with is that it was left to the discretion of 50 different governors and 50 different departments of health. It was a mishmash response. I believe it was a problem of the poor federal response and lack of coordination.

@AnAmericanPatriot1555 There had been a Pandemic Preparedness Office in the executive branch since 2015. It had prepared a playbook on how to deal with something such as the coronavirus. While it was not virus-specific, it was indeed a guidebook for a federal response. The Office was closed in early 2017 and the plan was bookshelved and unused during the pandemic. I feel this was a huge mistake.

@AnAmericanPatriot1555 It is available to read online. I read it quite awhile ago, back when it became news that it existed. This is why I am able to say that while it was not a perfect fit it was better than what we received. I do not say this as a dig at the administration of Donald Trump, but rather as a frustrated statement of fact. There was great value in the work and planning which had gone into the playbook. It was ignored at our peril.
