Insurrection Trump Insurrection Trump Insurrection Trump Sue me? He ain't got the sack. SCOTUS did not make any rulings on how Trump committed Insurrection, just said that Congress must make that determination. Which is awfully strange considering that the section has been used 8 times in history and not one of them was ever tried for Insurrection.

@Cass-lv1on argumentum ad hominem refers to several types of arguments, all of which are fallacious. Typically this term refers to a rhetorical strategy where the speaker attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person making an argument rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.

They dodged the Insurrection question completely.

If ad hominem attacks on the prosecutor and stalling are the very best defense your well-paid lawyers can provide, and you need an entire propaganda network to provide cover for you, you are already a loser.

@AndrewPriester Perhaps reread my initial post and use comprehension to understand the meaning behind it. First, SCOTUS made no ruling on whether Trump committed insurrection. They said that only Congress can decide who can be on the ballot, not the courts. Next, my post relayed the fact that the section has been used to bar 8 people from office and not a single one was ever convicted of insurrection. The section says nothing about conviction.

@stevehall2221 What is wrong about my post? SCOTUS did not address the question of Insurrection, did they? The only thing addressed yesterday is who determines who can be on a state's ballot. SCOTUS said it's a political decision, not a legal decision. What part is wrong?

@AndrewPriester Did you just read what I wrote, Andi? Conviction is NOT necessary. And SCOTUS DID NOT rule on that fact . The only determination SCOTUS made yesterday is that ballot candidates are a political decision, not a legal one. The fact that this was even a question is not the W you may think this decision was.

@jonathansanders7756 No. Section 3 of the 14th amendment has been used 8 times in our history to keep people from office. Research is easy and key.

@CDWCAULDRON M'kay. Did my toque give me away? I'm serious when I say you should have that 'voices' thing looked at. How many 5150s have you had?

@jonathansanders7756 No jon, I easily found the names and so can you. You can even read about each individual case, and they're quite interesting. As I have told my children, I will not do your homework for you.
