Chinese Balloons: Biden = 3 for 3 😃 Trump = 0 for 3 😔

@DontTreadOnMe17 I'm sorry that you don't have a real news source, so I got you this for your birthday: John F. Kirby, a National Security Council spokesman, said on Monday that Chinese spy balloons passed over the United States on at least three occasions during the Trump administration. You're welcome!

@brandibugh1 The point is Brandi, if you can get past your immediate and ongoing defensiveness towards any news about the Trump administration that you don't want to hear, is that these incursions DID happen while Trump was president. And because there was no response, the Chinese felt emboldened to continue to test the waters. Was it poor management or was it the wrong personnel in place during those years? We'll probably never know. But now we do know and have someone in charge who is responsive to the threat. And it'll probably now stop. But Fox and right-wingbat media wanted the viewers to believe this was a Biden failing....until they found out about the same thing happening during the Trump admin. And even now they don't/won't report this happened before. Why is that, do you think?

@DontTreadOnMe17 Well, when I come out of retirement and go to work at CNN, I'll report back to you....😒 The real question is why the personnel who Trump installed at the NSA and the Pentagon missed this before. "Only the best" is a quote I remember from those days....but that doesn't seem true now, does it? Trump says he never heard of these balloons during his presidency and that may be true, but the question should be why not. Should the US president be able to make political picks (who may not be up for the job) to such a sensitive agency? I say no...and that's for ANY president.

@DontTreadOnMe17 Sure. My father, during the 1950s and 60s, was a member of the John Birch Society and even back then they had decided there was a communist under every rock and behind every tree. This idiocy is nothing new. We are now and will continue to be the foremost, freest and democratically-oriented capitalist society on the planet...with laws written by and for corporate domination. So I wouldn't worry about "the commies" taking over. Your greater concerns should be towards wealth-gap and oligarchy. I don't dislike Biden because he is "a commie" but I do dislike him because he's always been a corporate democrat. We need to stop looking for "heroes" or "the guy who can beat the other guy" and elect intelligent and well-prepared presidents. It is rare to see our best and brightest as president and even when we do our media systems chew them up.

@brandibugh1 Sure...and I am not trying to shut you down. But let's agree to agree about reality. We know that these media sources are biased and folks flock to them based on their partisan preferences. And then folks begin to make things up based on those partisan preferences and bolster those ideas using snippets taken from their preferred media sources. What is just a bit harder is doing research about a chosen topic AND accepting the facts we find. In the case of political figures, like the president, we will find the good and the bad and the trick is to not let our partisan leanings color the facts we accept. Putting my head in the sand has never worked.
