  1. Wow, what a great idea. Weird how this is what Jimmy Carter actually created just before the end of his term. St. Ronny Reagan needed to appear to be balancing the budget while funding his star wars project and killed off community mental health resource funding. Everything old is new again...

  2. I agree that social media plays a part in this issue. Helping those currently in need is important AND we need to address some of the root causes.

  3. Doing little has not been working. Any amount of increased effort will benefit a certain percentage, which will in turn benefit society. No, in most cases you cannot force someone to receive help, but in my town the services currently available are overwhelmed by people in need.
