@castorkat4868 The word slav does not mean slave. And this was my point. I once asked my (now) ex-sister-in-law if that is what slav means. I have never seen someone get angry so quickly. She said slav is a term of respect and honor. She said is means glorious. It was co-opted for the term meaning owned person.

@65stang98 Well, you can be the one to tell my Russian ex-sister-in-law. But be careful, she quite adept with a knife. She is certain it is a title of respect.
