  2. It is a curious thing to me that Laura appears to believe that the GOP can afford to shed members who do not follow Trump blindly. There are fewer Republicans in the US than Democrats. That is just a fact. Republicans haven't won a popular vote since 2004. That is a fact. Shedding loyal Republicans is going to further erode those numbers. All this for a candidate who could plausibly only win one term. Then what? The GOP doesn't have another Trump up its sleeve.
