So, you're saying it's a choice then? What a concept.... Kinda sounds pro-choice.

@AnnusMirabilus I'm a pro-choice independent. I think it's a choice for an individual not a government official. These states' government officials banning abortion are crazy.

Interesting comment about a governor who won with less than 50% of the vote. Hmmmm.... Echoes of 2016? Ghosts of presidents past, KellyAnne?

Perhaps it's time for a constitutional amendment. We'll see if there are any subsequent rejections of the SCOTUS decision. The election in Kansas seems to verify the public polling on the matter.

@DeonOliverio1 I think folks see this as overreach by SCOTUS and the various states. And they are rightfully pissed. My initial thought was that it would end up right back in SCOTUS's lap, but this result shows me it may not need to.

@donniesimpson9639 It's ideological, not partisan. SCOTUS was pre-loaded with members itching to overturn Roe. In the face of all the states which had trigger laws it is undeniable fact that it was an ideological decision. Perhaps they didn't believe the multitude of polls on the subject or perhaps they believed that folks would put up with state imposed bans, but the result out of Kansas (R+15) shows me they were absolutely wrong.

@jonmunch3298 Weird. I say that because it had always been a choice before, not a prerogative. Be honest, it's ideological. SCOTUS absolutely knew of all the trigger laws and was constructed over many years to do what they did. They felt as though they could take it from a very personal choice and control choice through "group-think". They obviously misread the waters. The emotional burden is and always will be borne by those who have to make that personal choice. You may never believe me (and I don't care); I would never take that choice. But I also know that it is not up to me to make that choice for another. And the folks of Kansas realized this also. I can infer from your post that you don't support abortion. And that's ok...just choose to never have one. See? That's easy enough!
