@lynnwilliams4024 And I can see, even from the US, that you have no clue about US politics and perhaps should keep your commentary to yourself. You have about as much information (or less) about US politics as I do about UK politics. You're going to need a bit more than your "nuclear war" comment to scare an old cold war kid. I worry more about handing the reins of power back to this group which gleefully attempted to shred 240 years of American democracy. Two years later and none of the Republican players have changed at all, so no, I will not vote for them.

When was this magical period? 1776? 1843? 1924? 1952? 1964? 1988? 1996? 2003? What is the significance of those dates? What made America greater or lesser on these dates? I've read your posts before and from what I can tell is that you see politics as some sort of existential football game. You have likely learned most of this growing up with Fox News and don't even realize why I bring this up.

@salbro5985 And perhaps you have highlighted my greatest disgust with the current version of the Republican party. The hypocrisy of the eye-roll. Hypocrisy is the sin which encompasses all others. You know as well as I that if democrats did just one of those things mentioned we would have years of Benghazi-style hearings. And yet now, because it's "your team" you are perfectly fine sweeping it all under the rug. Sorry, but I don't have the moral flexibility necessary to vote republican.
