@vernonbowling5136 Capitalism doesn't have boundaries when they are knocked down by politicians. Corporate power in the US is at its zenith right now. Every time a law is written to better direct corporations, someone else will come along and deregulate things.

@theronash7269 Now that's a loaded question. We have plenty of socialist programs here in the US. I actually prefer the Nordic Model. And yeah, it has a lot more socjalist programs than the US and taxes are quite high. But the majority of those using it, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark are happy with it. It is still very much a capitalist system, but has much regulation and much less income disparity. Most folks there are happier than we are in the US.

@blintzkreig1638 You have no conception of what communism is. You just run around calling anyone you disagree wiith a communist. I was well acquainted with the John Birch Society in the 1960s and 70s. They saw communists behind every bush and yet when I'd ask them what a communist was, they'd usually just describe someone they disagreed with and lacked the ability to defend some of their worthless opinions.

@blintzkreig1638 Go watch some Beau of the Fifth Column. He shoots straight and doesn't favor one side over the other. IMO, both sides are pretty scrambled right now, but only the right is leaning towards a fascist bent. It isn't going to happen here. You saw the knee-jerk reaction to Trump and now Desantis is trying the same strong-man crap. It's a losing game.

@dennislawrence8501 Yeah, I've seen his screed before. It's pretty worthless. Never much input, just argument without much behind it. I usually don't respond, but what I typed today wasn't for him. Others will read it.

@johncarter1137 Free market policies ARE capitalistic policies in its glory. I too, am quite happy with capitalism, BUT with safety rails. Every time we get laws to maintain a little control, some massive lobbying kills the regulations.
