Amazing rewrite of history, Watters. The amnesty granted to former confederates did not alter the 14th amendment. If Congress wanted to get rid of section 3 of the 14th, they would have.

Liz Cheney, while I would agree with very little else of what she stands for, has this bunch pegged correctly. By deferring to one single very flawed candidate, the GOP is doing decades of damage to themselves. They really need to do a cost/benefit analysis here.

@massonh7476 Sorry, I just don't understand Orban being in the EU...

@captainwho1 Ask me again when they are charged with 91 felonies. Until then, shut it.

@captainwho1 And that is not what they did at all. What they did do was to grant amnesty to the majority of people who had fought for or supported the confederacy *except for "Senators and Representatives of the thirty-sixth and thirty-seventh Congresses, officers in the judicial, military, and naval service of the United States, heads of departments, and foreign ministers of the United States. In other words, amnesty did not apply to those who had sworn an oath to support, defend and protect the Constitution.

@RickMcGuire-bl2vs Now, knowing that the POTUS swears an oath AND his title includes Commander in Chief of the Military, section 3 of the 14th amendment does indeed apply to the President.

@RickMcGuire-bl2vs Did amnesty apply to all confederates? Of course it didn't.

@dner75-xh9le It is dolts who post for votes. I post facts here to help the factless. They come to Fox looking for news, but instead find only the opinions of propagandists. I do this as a public service. You're welcome.
