  1. The U.S. is not responsible for acting as the world's police. Look at their sloppy withdrawal from Afghanistan. After two decades of of military presence, the Taliban was able to retake the country with the U.S. leaving behind over $7B worth of equipment. The U.S. is not the savior that these Filipinos think they are. Also, every country should be vested in its own self-interest first. There's nothing selfish about forging nationalism.
