  2.  @leongyet9896  Yeah there's this obvious sense that most Singaporeans are overtly nice to westerners but nasty towards other Asians, especially those from neighboring countries, maybe it is a rivalry thing, I don't know. And I also noticed some Singaporeans are eager to please westerners, to a point where it looks self-loathing, that stems from low self-esteem. I'm an US citizen who grow up in Taiwan and my parents were born in China, I'm fluent in Chinese and English, but I never felt inferior toward whites or any other race. I always feel proud and lucky to be Chinese. I don't understand why so many people have low self-esteem, maybe that's how they were raised and the environment they were raised in made it that way.
