There really hasn't been that many browser improvements for quite some time. Yeah they keep adding features and standards, but is it really improved? Some of the security features are important like sandboxing but we also make the web less secure due to complexity. Once we got AJAX, that was about it for the web. Websockets are handy sometimes but they also can be a curse. Embedded videos? Could be great but not with the DRM requirement that was included.

@kevinmcfarlane2752 Care to share what I'm missing? I I've been using the web since 1997 and there have been absolute improvements over the years. AJAX allowing for SPA changed everything. SVG and video support replaced flash which was important. But in the last 10 years has there really been improvements for the end-user? I've not noticed.
