Do slaves come and go with their own consents? Get paid market wages? Are protected by their embassies? This is the best slavery in history

Why do all commenters just say these misinformations? The kafala system doesn't apply to companies, only to individuals. It's not a capitalist system

@vitoanania6042 I lived 14 years in saudi Arabia and my father lived there for 35 years, what you say is basically nonsense. Some Saudis are indeed cruel and bad, but you shouldn't generalize, they're not even the majority

@fatemad4012 I know they don't force us to work, they say "either work and get paid, or go away", which totally makes sense except for communists And they have the responsibility to protect the weak from exploitation which happens occasionally, and I condemn the saudi government for not taking this issue seriously, but some injustice happens literally in every country, and honestly saudi is not worse than other countries. But they don't have to give welfare to foreigners, since this is how foreign nations treat saudi citizens and basically every other foreigner

@fatemad4012 haven't you read my reply? I said that I condemned the saudi government for not taking some exploitative acts seriously, and these actions are not the norm and are not as widespread as you think, because Saudi people have morals and ethics too, they're not like Israelis who think that this is their lands and have absolute rights over it But when you say human conditions, I hope you're not asking for free healthcare and housing, even though Saudi Arabia have the zakat system and charity organizations to solve such problems, they don't have the obligation to do so, except a moral and religious obligation some believe in

@fatemad4012 the word literally means "sponsorship", where foreign workers come with the consent of a Saudi citizen (the kafeel), and that Saudi kafeel is responsible for them in some matters I believe it's a system to not flood the state with immigrants and make the citizens in higher economic statuses
