  1.  @eddarby469  I think the stock market crash had something to do with putting the kibosh on SS privatization. I don't know how you convince the public that the debt is a problem. Even this recent bout of inflation doesn't seem to have convinced them that money printing is bad. The dilemma is that most Americans are feeding at the public trough in one form or another, and they don't want to give it up.

  6.  @eddarby469  some people care about the border. Nobody cares about the deficit or the debt. Nobody. If they did, the Libertarians would have received more than 1% of the vote. In fact, Americans love debt. They love it in their personal lives, and they love it when the government prints money. The Republicans haven't even pretended to care about debt since before Bush Jr.
