@odddreams I guess under a computer desk you can say whatever you want, included the most ridiculous things possible, anyhow genius, NATO's #1 rule: when one country is attacked, USA on 9/11, all NATO countries are attacked as well, in other words one for all and all for one, capisci? France is a NATO member, isn't it? Where was Al Qaeda, Bin Laden, on 9/11, and who was governing Afghanistan when 9/11 occurred?

@odddreams I guess you love your country, USA, as much as I enjoy swimming in Lake Ontario in January. Unfortunately for YOU, Obama was not leading USA right after the TERRORIST attacks of 9/11 occurred therefore Bush rightly and decisively sent troops to remove the threat of Al Qaeda in that primitive country where Talibans were harboring Bin Laden and his gang of fanatical muslim extremists. Case closed.

@888Valkyrie Only USA, CDA and UK allow their own troops to be engaged in COMBAT fight in wars, no other NATO country, EU countries included, allows their own troops to DIRECTLY engage Talibans on the battlefield, why is that, ask the govs of those particular countries but especially the 99% anti-war societies in the entire EU except UK. Be sure that Talibans would have been long ago fully destroyed if all NATO troops in Afghanistan would have done COMBAT fight like USA, CDA & UK.

@GenAndrei Buddy, go to wikipedia, a very neutral organization, and read about NATO and its own ARTICLE 5: an attack on one NATO member, USA on 9/11, is considered an attack on ALL NATO members, that's why NATO (France included) has been in Afghanistan since after 9/11 TERRORIST attacks. Educate yourself before jumping on discussions YOU do not have enough knowledge of.

@888Valkyrie Taibans would have been long ago fully defeated regardless of the Iraq War main complain of the left (no more troops for the Afghan War b/c of Iraq War) IF each and every NATO country with troops on the ground in Afghanistan would have been involved in COMBAT fights, if you go to wikipedia and Operation Enduring Freedom you see an Ocean of NATO troops in that damn primitive country, also on top of that the fully open border btwn Afghanistan & Pakistan.
