  1. Absolutely untrue … India had only signed a defence treaty with the Soviet Union . Soviet Union did not intervene at all . Only when Nixon ordered the seventh fleet warship to enter Indian Ocean did the Soviets follow that with its Eighth fleet . USA backed off . India won the War . Bangladesh was created ..
