  5. the death penalty does not stop scumbags, the USA has proven that. Being locked up for the rest of your life is a great punishment.

  6. That just shows the evolution of society. I remember a saying that society is measured on how it treats its prisoners. The death penalty is NOT a deterrent but just a barbaric reaction. Putting someone in jail for the rest of their life is more humane and much more of a punishment  @gerloyd6098
