  2. Yah, but keep in mind, some people have been in this for a long time and simply haven't spotted the change of context... not only technological (adds on tv aren't as needed anymore) but also on what voters expect from their politicians... left voters are less and less interested in "winning" but want life changing results, so the strategy of centre-centre left is not what they want now... they want what the rest of the first world has (single-payer, free tuition and no more of that blobtesque "defense" budget and no more of that strings attached big "donations"). Also, the more the right pushes right, the more the left will have to push left just to get back to the previous position that was already way too much on the right. Young people that just became interested in politics haven't been through those periods where change needed to be incremental and money was important... they also happen to be more attuned to the current context. But yah, working families will be way better served, in this context, by progressives. And Bernie has shown that progressives are actually more appealing to the voters, in blue and especially in red areas than the same o'l, same o'l centre-left democrat. If Nixon wins the nomination against Cuomo, progressive's image as race winners will get another huge boost because they'll prove they can win big state governor races too, and the change will then be seismic. Bernie really kicked the nest and it's coming to fruition. The dem party will have to adapt. Expect the trend of dem hopefuls quitting that fake centre to intensify and their begging for big donations to drop considerably. Or more succinctly, Working Families will probably notice the change of paradigm after Ocasio's landslide victory while being outspent 10 to 1 by the nbr 4 of the party. Sorry for the long winded answer.
