If capitalism and socialism were the only options then you would have to choose socialism, but it's not. There's also mercantilism and economic interventionism, and that's not socialism that's just what occurs in any system where there is hands on authority. Emperor Tiberius wasn't a socialist even though he interfered in the economy directly many times and neither was Hitler. Hitler hated parasitic capitalism such having private banks (and so does anyone sane). Hitler also restricted trade in ways to ensure all the foreign currency the country owned ultimately went to buying resources the country needed but that is not socialism either.
