  1. If you just use it for email and browser linux is infinitely better most people just don't know how to set it up and most PCs come with windows. Games are the main thing that hold people to windows, but since most people use steam for games anyway this doesn't matter as much any more.

  3. I have my new PC running linux now. MX linux would not work I got it to install but had further problems due to newer hardware. But fedora seems rock solid though gnome has become a ridiculous POS more like a phonetop than a desktop. So I installed KDE and it seems OK so far though not as good as the old KDE. It's amazing how bloated windows is that no matter how strong your system is it still runs like garbage when you have more than a web browser running, but the dealbreaker for me is the possibility of bitlocker locking you our, or being forced online. I don't use the stupid my pictures and other stuff like that but it's also bonkers they are automatically stealing this data and putting it online and on top of all that giving the police access. Never in a million years would I think even M$ would have this much hutzpah.
