  5. Ever heard the saying- " One mans Terrorist is another mans Freedom Fighter " ? As a young man I used to consider it a nonsensical saying. How did the Arabs in Palestine view the Haganah and Irgun vs how did the Jews in Palestine view them? The Israelis started as the underdogs in the region and slowly morphed over 5 decades into the regional superpower and became the bully on the block over the last 2 decades. The Window for a 2 State Solution has closed with the assassination of Yitzak Rabin now only a 1 State Solution remains, do you think that it is going to be realistic for the Israeli State to drive out basically all the Palestinians and be accepted by the surrounding Muslim Nations? The Arab Elites may not like the Palestinians but the Muslim populations are solidly behind the Palestinians in this conflict and they will eventually determine the outcome. Will the USA always be there to save the Israelis or will the changing Demographics in the USA ultimately take the USA away from AIPAC control? I grew up in South Africa and the current ruling Party the ANC were viewed as a terrorist organization by most Whites and as a Liberation Movement by most Blacks. As I have gotten older I now have a more nuanced assessment of their role in this country, they were both a terror organization and Liberators just like the Haganah and Irgun and now Hamas.

  8. You do realise there are thousands of Palestinians from Gaza and the Westbank in detention for several years, many without trials and on flimsy or non-sensical claims. What do you normally call these type of detainees? Hostages? Hamas are Cnuts but the Israeli State are bigger Cnuts.
