  1. Morrison played Albo beautifully. The timing of the election he was sure to lose meant Albo would be at the Quad alliance meeting before he had come down from his election win. Morrison knew Albo craved attention and he got it in spades from Biden. By the time he came home from the Quad Albo was absolutely tied to the US alliance. Had Albo had time to get over the fact he was now living at Kirribilli House be might have taken Australia out of the Quad and AUKUS as a sop to China, as Rudd did with the Quad in 2008.
