  2. Two very different creatures are being called Chupacabras (the correct name is Chupacabras, not Chupacabra - it's a "sucker of goatS", not a "sucker of just one goat". It would die of starvation after sucking just one goat, RIGHT?); one is a misidentified canid or fox, with extreme mange, not a genuine cryptid at all. The other was first reported in South America, and looks like a mammal/reptile hybrid. South American witnesses believed it was some sort of escaped NASA experiment, because after a sighting NASA vans would be seen all over the area of the sighting. It may in fact be a genuine creature from an experiment gone awry. One thing DOES bother me about the phenomenon, and that's the question of why such a creature would limit itself to Spanish-speaking countries only.
