Killing is not the only cruelty done to an animal, but milking them artificially inseminating them, separating it from its calf etc is more cruel than killing them. Also killing is not the only cruelty you can do to people. Slave trade and Caste are more inhamane than killing them. If you truely believe in not being cruel to animals, become a Vegan (Don''t use any animal produce including milk, butter, cheese, ghee, leather etc..) and I will respect you.

Cows milk is for its calf and not meant for people. If you allow the calfs to drink the milk, the cows will not get sick. No dairy culture of is humane as it makes the dairy animals suffer. Focus on treating animals properly while they are alive first.
