It's amazing how the same people who squawk about how everything under the sun is a "human right" somehow don't understand the importance of security as a government given right, mostly for the weakest of us, and a right that nearly every reasonable person agrees that we should have. Little old nana probably can't defend herself, and if she's poor and can't afford it, she should absolutely have some kind of protection under the law. That's what policing is, socialists should be all for that. But of course, they want their own government ordered gestapo to arrest wrongthinkers. That's what the defund police movement is really all about.

@rproctor83 still better to have police as a safeguard than not have them at all, and understand that there's no such thing as absolute security, but some is better than none. If people understood that basic concept, we could avoid all the bloat and unnecessary power given to authorities.
