Ramon Noriega If you have doubts, don't do it!

Yes it was a toned down tour but they do warn everyone that wants to come through that the full tour is brutal. They may be secretive about specifics but the exit videos make it pretty clear that what you experience is extreme and completely voluntary. Did you go through it? Would you want to be interviewed?
2
FrobblOo Just curious, would you also shut down Blackout or Gates of Hell? Or would you stop people from willingly engaging in extreme sports where they risk their life? Is the key factor for you that he has no safe word? There are hundreds of people on his FB page and more on YouTube that went through the full tour and applaud him for what he does. If people like them want to do this, should they be allowed to do it? Just asking.

FrobblOo No, it is people from this year, and this month and last posted videos on his FB page saying it was brutal but kudos to him for doing it. I even corresponded with one guy who went in September, the week before me,and had a busted lip and bruises but he applauded McKamey Manor but did warn people not to go because it is more extreme than you think. Russ even spends time trying to talk people out of going. I chose the sissy tour -- he was perfectly willing to give me the full tour -- because I am not an adrenaline junkie and know I don't want to be held under water, faux waterboarded, placed in a strait jacket, put in sensory deprivation, etc for 8 hours. I would not go to Blackout either nor subject myself to simulated sexual assault but I wouldn't stop others from doing it. I am not doing this story to try to shut the place down, I am doing it to explain to people what extreme haunts are.

+Sabrina Spellman Thanks!

The city demolished the floating castle. Kata is not sure what happened to the pink bus(es). There were also party buses that had jacuzzis! There were women on the buses but not sure they danced. The Monster Woman also went by the names of Omega Woman and Mona the Beast... I believe, but don't know more.

Thank you!

Yes my video will run Friday night and then be posted on YouTube.

FrobblOo Well I didn't see anything on his YouTube channel that made it seem soft. Russ is proud of how extreme it is and doesn't hide it. Plus you have to go through a screening process where he tries to talk you out of it and the waiver you sign lists much of what you will go through and emphasizes there is no safe word. I don't see how anyone could go in blind. You won't know exactly what you'll get but it is very clear that it is at the extreme end of extreme.

RobertDoosh It's a haunted house so yes there's dirt and blood (sorry for the spoiler but it's fake) but it's fine. Just a little dirtier than my home. And not sure if I would pass an OSHA inspection but then like McKamey Manor, it's just a private home and not a business with paid employees.
1
RobertDoosh He does not claim to be running it from a ranch. You can check out my story for more details.
1
RobertDoosh Well I did better research than you and I talked to Russ McKamey and visited the site. That video was from Jan 2013. If you read my story you will find out what happened to that location. http://www.kpbs.org/news/2014/oct/24/mckamey-manor-takes-haunting-extremes/

RobertDoosh And what does his DJing weddings have to do with anything? You obviously don't want to hear any information that doesn't jib with your pre-formed opinions. So I won't bother to spend any more time responding.

FrobblOo He makes no secret that he has four locations and whether he uses all four depends on whether it is the 4 hour or 8 hour tour and on how far people make it. He was more than willing to show me more and take me to any of the more extreme rooms. Based on videos I saw, on working on haunted houses myself both home haunts and professional ones, and knowing my limitations, I was the one who said no. And he does show the long tours in his videos if you actually watch the recent videos.

philbio66 You cannot be prepared for what specifically happens and many people seem to underestimate what they can endure (that's the big thing) but it was perfectly clear to me the kind of thing that goes on and I knew exactly what my limits were and that a full or short tour would exceed them. He makes it clear that it is extreme and that he recommends you do NOT do it. He screens everyone and tries to talk them out of doing it. People who go, go willingly and most go because they want to say they have done something that very few people have done. It's like horror boot camp -- they do everything to mentally and physically break you and when it's over they welcome you into an elite group. That's my take on based on all the people -- McKamey, actors, "survivors," people who want to go -- that I talked with.
1
FrobblOo It's really simple. If you have doubts, don't go. If you don't like his rules, don't go. People have free will, no one is forcing anyone to go. If people want to go they should be able to. This is all voluntary and they know going in there is no safe word. If that's an issue, stay away. That is made very clear. From what I have seen it is people who have not gone through and have no interest in going through that are complaining most loudly. There are 17,000 people on the waiting list. So there's a lot of people interested in testing their limits. People who go bungee jumping might change their minds halfway down about their decision but there's no way to stop the experience halfway through. Should we stop them from doing that? No. Like some of the other posters here you have an agenda and are not interested in a dialogue. So thank you for your comments and post as much as you want. I'm moving on.
