  5. UK's foreign policy has been friendly with Saudis since WW1. After WW2, US inherited UK's foreign policy e.g. anti-Russia and friendly with the Saudis. Recent US administration changes lead to US first which practically dumped UK's foreign policy settings. US and Russia was allies in 1800s.
