S. has been a liberal, or a "left" leaning society since its inception. nationally, the democratic party has outnumbered the GOP by millions of members for over a hundred years. even in many states that have GOP govs or legislatures there's a DEM MAJORITY! this should indicate to ANYONE how the GOP is rigging and stealing both federal and state elections. the U. S. has "socialist" aspects as well, EVERY COUNTRY DOES! if your country has public roads, public schools, court houses, police forces, infrastructure maintenance, a postal service, minimum wage laws, etc, your country practices some level of socialism. but these socialist "programs" can only go so far under any corrupt capitalist system. in other words, socialism and capitalism DON'T MIX! the greed and apathy of capitalism will ALWAYS corrupt the well intentioned goals of socialism.

Old King Crow ... you say you're not educated in politics? you do know what gerrymandering and voter suppression are right? these are the tactics used to ensure minority rule. its not a representation problem, per se, its a rigged election problem. once either party gains power in a state they tend to start redrawing the elections maps in such a skewed and corrupt way as to assure their party maintains power in that state. but the GOP is much better, and more devious, at achieving this. i know of no state where the dems rule as a minority population. but there are several states where a GOP minority rule over a dem majority. all we NEED IS FAIR ELECTIONS and SANE voting districts. i really enjoyed your comment. thanks for the intelligent discourse.

Old King Crow ... one last thing, BOTH parties work real hard in keeping third party candidates off of the state ballots. this is another way they rig elections.
