+dlee… how can you be right and wrong at the same time? true: oligarchies aren't democratic. capitalism creates oligarchies. we've had an oligarchy in the U.S. since before the revolution. humanity has been ruled by oligarchs since the first city states. you wanna be free? fight the capitalist system that enslaves you on behalf of the oligarchs who rule you.

+Lab... you're right. there was also the French commune following the 1870 Franco-Prussian war. in both cases the fascist reactionaries slaughtered those involved. and this is partly my point. the elite WILL not voluntarily (through elections or legislation) relinquish their corruption, privilege and control over humanity. they will commit whatever atrocities needed to maintain their power. mass arrests, police brutality, war, torture, concentration camps and genocide - nothing is beneath them. lately, they use economic terrorism against their own people. this is often called "austerity." even poverty is a weapon. but don't think for one moment more violent methods won't be utilized whenever they feel the people and human rights threaten their rule to a greater extent. and this is more of a reason we need revolution, not less of a reason.

+Janusha… you're right. the soviet union, regardless of what their elite called it, was never socialist or communist for that matter. there's an obvious tell called elitism. socialism is strictly anti-elitist and since the soviets had a definite elitist hierarchy it was capitalist all the way. capitalism is elitism, a privilege based society. which is also fascist. so the soviets, Chinese and even the swedes are in fact capitalist - fascist states and no nation on earth has ever actually practiced REAL socialism. even many leftists don't understand this. they too are brainwashed by the capitalist lie that the soviets, and others, were somehow socialist.

+Sterling... actually, your comment applies just as much to Adam Smith and Milton Friedman as to Marx. the left AND right has been spewing the same old, archaic nonsense for centuries now. equalism offers a new approach. the ANSWER is simplification not more ridiculous convolution and complication. the elitist "economists" continue to mistakenly associate free-marketism with capitalism and socialism with statism. and they're WRONG on both accounts.

+lab... too many people incorrectly associates revolution with violence. peaceful revolution is the only way. and its completely possible. 2 things are needed - AND NEEDED QUICKLY. 1) we need a revolution of thought. a new and unique view of the world and our place in it. then we need to WAKE UP people to this new idea. equalism,, a fresh and innovative philosophy I founded, is THAT revolution of thought.

I agree. but I prefer to say religion has been MISUSED by the elite to control the masses. its not the message of religion, per se, but the corruption of that message. i'm not religious but I don't HATE religion or anyone because of their religion. i hope you don't hate them too. its the elite and their fascism was must fight and overcome. equalism says - the elite don't oppress us, we oppress each other and call it employment. the elite hire us to screw each other for the elite's benefit. the most rebellion most of us do is give our hard earned money to some rich person or elitist org and expect them to change the world for us. no political or business savior is going to swoop down and save us! the secret to a BETTER WORLD is in us! WE MUST DO IT! and we do it through our UNITY, our non-compliance and our non-participation. WE CHANGE THE WORLD by changing ourselves!
