  1.  @bg1616  Crimea? Sure, by lawful referendum. Donetsk? Not so much. And it's all happened AFTER illegal Ukrainain coup took over the power (and started to massacre civilians) after last legal Ukrainian president fled the country.

  5.  @Pelbisaverynicegtagplayer  it absolutely was illegal. Sovet Republics were not to be divided or change territories without at least a referendum, which wasn't done at the time, hence it was illegal act.
