This is also a problem within the borders of the US. Many companies caught using child labor just within the last few months in coal mines and slaughter houses with 12 year olds using caustic chemicals to clean "head splitters" while working overnight shifts. Not to mention the other companies using slave labor. Agricultural slave rings using migrant labor (usually visa holders) in GA among other states. In fact a few republican states just passed a bill making under 16 labor legal in coal mines and slaughterhouses with no required age verification. And the under 18 min. wage in the US is $4.25/hr. Not defending China here, just saying the US is no better and using slave labor in the US is no different than using it anywhere else. If a company is using slave labor it's using slave labor. It's equally immoral no matter the location or how they try to hide it.

Agreed! When the only goal is to make money at all costs this is the result. Need some basic regulations and protectionism to thwart these greedy mf'ers making billions off the backs of slaves while we lose all our jobs and only have McDonalds left to work at.

@JJs_playground He got lucky playing Pachinko, how is that admirable? We should focus on making society a better place, not getting insanely rich at the expense of everyone else.

The Military Industrial Complex will never cease to surprise with the depths it reaches. Basically the entire history of the US is about big business interests pushing imperialism further. And before that the British and the Dutch the Spanish, etc. One could use the story of Cortez invading Mexico for gold as an allegory for any imperialist nation.
