  1. Average person ain't getting paid $80k/year. That's the number the gov. claims is the average household income which usually includes at least 2 incomes. Average income is actually like $36/year, the statistics usually quoted by the "news" are very misleading. Almost 40% of all US jobs pay under $16/hr so it's no wonder we are all broke.
