  1. But Gandhi didn't fight for people's rights in South Africa. During the Boer war Gandhi was a medic... for the British! And he was racist as he didn't believe non-white south africans should have the same status and rights as their colonizers. He plainly says this in his own autobiography. Ironically Gandhi does a pretty good job illuminating some of his own worst flaws in the book, unwittingly obviously.
